Understand the problem
Start with a clear challenge. Explore its inputs, its constraints, and what a good solution needs to do.
Go beyond following tutorials. Reason through problems, see your ideas take shape, and write code you actually understand.
Create an account. Bring a curious mind.

SOCRASTICA
A clear idea becomes a clear path.
The learning loop
Four small steps. One important shift: learning how to solve, not just what to type.
Start with a clear challenge. Explore its inputs, its constraints, and what a good solution needs to do.
Talk through your idea with a Socratic mentor. A thoughtful question can take you further than a finished answer.
Explore a logic map. Follow each decision, spot the missing branch, and see how the pieces connect.
Turn your approach into TypeScript in the built-in editor. Use the review checklist to consider the edge cases.
Room to figure it out
Getting stuck is part of learning. Socrastica gives you a place to slow down, ask a better question, and find your next step.
Explain an idea before getting lost in syntax.
Connect decisions to outcomes in a visual map.
Keep your reasoning beside your code.
YOUR PLAN
Remember what I’ve seen. Check before adding.
Stop when I find a repeat.
// Give your reasoning a little structure.
function containsDuplicate(nums) {
const seen = new Set();
for (const num of nums) {
// What should happen here?
}
}Your first challenge
Explore arrays, sets, and the idea of remembering what you’ve seen.
A little clarity
A little familiarity helps, but the first challenge starts with plain-English reasoning. Explore the problem and its logic before opening the code editor.
The learning flow puts your reasoning first. The mentor asks questions, the map makes the approach visible, and you write the implementation yourself.
The studio includes one arrays-and-hashing challenge, an AI mentor, an example flowchart, a TypeScript editor, and saved progress. Create an account to start practicing.
The mentor uses live AI with a limited testing allowance. Once your reasoning is ready, the studio creates your logic map and opens the next stage. Your TypeScript implementation runs against eight tests in an isolated environment. Passing tests checks behavior, not proof of equivalence to your map.
Your conversation, code, and learning stage are saved to your account. Check the save indicator before closing the studio; use Save progress to retry if a connection fails.
